Teaching Our Youngest: A Guide for Preschool Teachers and Child-Care and Family Providers.
This booklet offers important guidance about teaching young children - everything from how to create an environment conducive to learning to teaching about letters and numbers to checking children's progress to communicating with parents. Each short chapter lists specific things to do as well as gives examples of "teacher talk." Short introductions tell why, and bulleted lists tell how to carry out the suggestions.
The booklet was produced by the Early Childhood-Head Start Task Force.
