Music for Children

Here are a few web sites that will lead you to good sources of good children's music.

• Ella Jenkin's Home Page.  Find her own music as well as links to other music and education resources.  (Long-time Sesame Street contributor, Jenkins received a 2004 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award.)
• The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Kids' Page provides midis, lyrics, and/or links for sing-along songs.
• Children's Notable Recordings lists from the American Library Association include both stories and music.
• Parent's Choice Award Winners year-by-year or their selection of the best 25 audio recordings over the past 25 years.

And one that links to songs that teach elementary concepts for Pre-K-K.

Another helps children learn about music and instruments in an engaging way: The San Francisco Orchestra's kids page, a few parts of which may be suitable for preschoolers.
