Features of Successful Professional Development: The Knowledge Base for Teacher LearningIn addition to the knowledge base on instructional development, in selecting the activities for the Partnership for Literacy, CELA was guided by research and theory on reflective practice, on developing communities of reflective practice, and on the importance of conceptual and pedagogical tools to guide teaching. We also include here a summary framework for effective professional development that was used to develop specific activities and materials for use in the Partnership program. |
